Peer Review Process

The International Conference on Science, Social, and Humanity (ICSSHU) is committed to maintaining high standards through a rigorous peer-review together with strict ethical policies and standards. Below is a detailed description of the peer review process for our journal:

Initial Manuscript Evaluation

The editor first evaluates all submissions. Manuscripts rejected at this stage are insufficiently original, have serious scientific flaws, have poor grammar or English language, or are outside the aims and scope of the journal. Those that meet the minimum criteria are passed on to at least two experts for review.

Type of Peer Review

ICSSHU employs a double-blind review process, where both the reviewers and the authors are anonymized during the review process. This helps to ensure that the review is fair and unbiased.

Reviewer Selection

Reviewers are matched to the paper according to their expertise. Our reviewer database is constantly being updated. We welcome suggestions for reviewers from authors, though these recommendations may not be followed.

Review Duration

Typically, the manuscript will be reviewed within four to eight weeks. Should there be any delays due to circumstances beyond our control, we will ensure that the authors are informed.

Reviewer Reports

Reviewers are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript:

  • Is original
  • Is methodologically sound
  • Follows appropriate ethical guidelines
  • Has results which are clearly presented and support the conclusions
  • Correctly references previous relevant work

Reviewers are not expected to correct or edit manuscripts. Language correction is not part of the peer review process.

Decision Categories

  • Accept: The manuscript is suitable for publication in its current form.
  • Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires minor changes for which the author has a short period to make the amendments.
  • Major Revisions: The manuscript requires significant changes and reevaluation.
  • Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication with the journal or in general.

Revisions

If authors are asked to revise their manuscripts, they should submit the revised version within the specified deadline, including a detailed response to the reviewers’ comments.

Final Decision

The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript rests with the Editorial Board of the ICSSHU. Authors can appeal editorial decisions by contacting the editors with a detailed reason for disagreement.
