Withdrawal Policy

The International Conference on Science, Social, and Humanity (ICSSHU) recognizes that authors may need to withdraw their manuscript after submission. To ensure transparency and fairness in the withdrawal process, the following policy outlines the steps and consequences involved in withdrawing a manuscript:

Withdrawal Requests

  • Before Peer Review: Authors can withdraw their manuscript without any charge if the request is made before the manuscript enters the peer review process.
  • During Peer Review: If the authors wish to withdraw the manuscript during the peer review process, they may do so but may be subject to a handling fee to compensate for the journal's administrative costs and resources spent.
  • After Acceptance: Withdrawal of a manuscript after acceptance is generally discouraged. If an author requests withdrawal at this stage, a more substantial withdrawal fee may be charged to cover the costs incurred by the journal in processing the manuscript.

Procedure for Withdrawal

  1. Written Request: The author must provide a formal written request for withdrawal to the editorial office, stating the reasons for the manuscript withdrawal.
  2. Confirmation: The editorial office will review the request and may contact the corresponding author for further discussion or clarification.
  3. Approval: Once the request is approved, the manuscript will be officially withdrawn from the system.

Consequences of Withdrawal

  • Record Keeping: All withdrawals are recorded to maintain the integrity of the journal and prevent misuse of the system.
  • Notification: Once a manuscript is withdrawn, any reviewers or editors involved will be notified of the withdrawal.
  • Fees: Depending on the stage of the manuscript processing, withdrawal fees may apply as specified.

Misuse of the Withdrawal Policy

Repeated or unjustified withdrawals after manuscript submission may lead to restrictions on future submissions by the same author(s) to the journal.

This policy is designed to be fair to both authors and the editorial process. The goal is to avoid inconvenience and potential misuse of journal resources while respecting the authors' need to withdraw their work under certain circumstances.
